Martin Kunaus, Technology Consulting

Martin is the founder and Executive Director of Netrus Inc.  Martin has led Netrus to provide Consulting Services to enterprise clients. The projects have included critical medical data systems, patient transport, mobile communications, public government services and banking/financial systems.

Over the past fifteen years, Martin has been involved with the design, build and security of infrastructure systems and supporting communication networks for critical services that have included public and mobile portal solutions providing critical 7x24 non-stop services and communication.  Martin’s expertise in the management and control of supporting infrastructure technology is sought after for critical service and communications developments and implementation.

Sandra Liepkalns, Information Security Management

Sandra brings over fifteen years of managing and directing many implementation projects as well as reviewing and strategizing secure corporate IT architectures.  During her career at Netrus, Ernst & Young and Unilever, she has designed, managed and implemented corporate security policies, including a stratified risk management approach to securing high risk and critical systems; designed procedure models for the management of third party network connections; developed third party Internet and Web service provider security review models; and established global metrics for Internet, Wireless and System threat risk assurance modelling, testing and analysis processes.

Sandra also has participated as a security advisor for projects including eApplications, Threat Risk Assessments, Security and Privacy, Governance, Infrastructure, Network Management, Internet, Web, Portal, Mobile, IVR and Wireless Technology for numerous corporations, government and government agencies in North America and Europe.

Michael O'Farrell, Mobile Innovation

Over the last 15 years, Michael has played a key strategic role in the launch of innovative new products and service globally with: Nokia, Motorola, Ericsson, TD Waterhouse, National Bank of Canada, RBC Financial, Carlson Marketing, Whirlpool, Ford, VeriSign, RSA Security, the dotMobi company and mobile network operators globally including Eurotel, Orange, Telecom Italia, Rogers Wireless, Fido, Bell Mobility and many more.

As a global subject matter expert on mobile Internet and digital media initiatives, Michael has been a featured speaker and considered a leading mobile media industry futurist. In addition to shaping the early market practices of the Open Mobile Alliance, he was a co-founder of the dotMobi Advisory Group & Policy Advisory Board, the Wireless Advertising Industry Association (now operating as the Mobile Marketing Association) and the WAP Forum's Developers Expert Group (now operating under the Open Mobile Alliance).

Alex Ostritsky, Managed Solutions

Alex has extensive experience in global aspects of the financial, telecommunications and technical sectors. His involvement includes an array of senior management responsibilities as well as senior consulting engagements. Alex has provided complex integration projects for clients such as Royal Trust, Bank of Montreal and AT&T Canada. He has architected and managed the development of International Financial Systems; Interactive Voice Response Systems; Distributed Database Schemes and Architectures; Telecommunications Systems; eCommerce, eHealth, Mobile and Business to Business and Consumer Information Systems.

In addition to these activities, for the last 10 years Alex was appointed Chief Technical Officer for Transcard Canada. In this position, he was responsible for the development and deployment of a financial system with global reach. This involved oversight and management of a technical team involved in the development and delivery of software modules designed to capitalize on Transcard’s line of business. In September 2001 Alex was appointed to the position of President of Transcard Canada, with responsibility for managing the launch of new consumer and travel based financial products.
